16 Scale Bath Tub

Hi Dollie Folks!  Just wanted to share with you a good find if  you're looking for a 1/6 scale bathtub. I found this one containing these bath products at Big Lots.

Just to give you an idea of it's scale, here's my latest Made to Move Barbie trying it out for size. The tub and bath products cost $10.  Not a bad deal if  you collect 1/6 scale items..

Peacekeepers & African American Christmas Decorations

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a Holiday as nice as mine. I got together with my 3 sisters from Michigan and we visited our daughters in Atlanta.  While there we went to a neighborhood Kroger and found the following items.

What the Haaaay,  Peacekeepers at Krogers?!?  And below, my sister has been trying to find AA Nutcrackers for a few years and was able to finally get one at Kroger.

Nice price for full sized and the Minis below were about half the price as the ones listed above.

And of course there's Santa!

Play sets found at DD's Discount

Just like to share a few items I found at one of my favorite haunts in the Houston area, DD's Discount.  It s a really good source for 1/6 scale play sets.  If you have one in your area, check it out. They're not your usual Barbie/Mattel type play sets but still they are of pretty good quality.  Although most of these items on the shelves are pink, I have found some in the past that are not.

Really nice bathroom play set

I also found a Twilight Doll there for only $3.99.

What I like about this bike is the black tires.

It's been a while since I've posted anything about my ladies so here goes!  If you've checked out my posts about the guys, you will have noticed that I do a lot of head swaps.  I do so many that I nick-named myself Dr. Dolliestein.   Whenever I see LIV dolls in a Thrift stores I purchase them because of their articulation.  I'm not a big fan of Monster High Dolls because don't like their oversize heads.  I purchased this Cleo DeNile, however, because I wanted to modify her shoes for another doll.  I just recently watched a collector on YouTube do a MH head swap with Barbie so I decided to break out Ms Cleo and try her head on a LIV body.

I removed the LIV head using hot water.  The Cleo head has glue in it so I had to gently work it off using a very small screw driver in stead of the hot water.  Now her head looks more proportioned to her new body.

I temporarily dressed her in this little pink frock I got off of  a Dollar Tree Doll.

She will make a great addition to my cast of characters!

Hope you all had a wonderful Holiday Season as did I.  I spent quality time with my family and enjoyed their 2 week stay with me here in H-Town. I got to do a little doll shopping and had the extreme pleasure of meeting 2 very nice representatives from One World Dolls at my local H.E.B. They were there promoting the 2 latest released dolls.  H.E.B. has the best price on the girls so I was more than pleased to pick up a couple and my sisters did so as well.  I also won a bid on E-bay for a Janay Color Infusion doll.  I've got a few pictures of how this new doll compares in size to some of my other dolls.

Excuse the dollie nudity!

Here's another comparison to ITBE's Flounce,

Her feet are about the same size as the Fairy Tale High (FTH) Doll.  I purchased a couple of the FTH dolls just to have shoes that would fit my Janay  I parceled out the rest of the FTHs clothes and accessories among my other dolls because I'm not a big fan of dolls with over-sized heads and cartoon type faces.

As you can see the FTH Mermaid shoes are a perfect fit.

The "Glass Slipper" is a great choice as well (how ironic LOL)  I love the this doll even though she won't be sharing shoes with her smaller foot Integrity sisters or Barbie.  Just a quick tip for those of you who might be looking for shoes for this doll.  Thanks for viewing!

Found these My Scene Design Jackets and sweaters at the "$.99  Only" store.

I purchased the striped jacked on the bottom first.  I watched the cashier ring up $.50 for the item then rushed back after work and bought 2 each of others.  Unfortunately there was only one of the striped version available. Pretty good deal for nicely made My Scene jackets.
.

It fits Artsy quite nicely.

Valencia looks nice in it too.

Brandy and Valencia model the other two jackets. So now we know that the 3 jackets will fit and looks pretty good on 3 different body types.

Went to a couple of my favorite Thrift Stores in Pasadena Texas and found a very nice looking cabinet, 2010 Christmas Barbie, a Barbie Beetle (non pink, hal-ley-lu-yer!) and some cute lil horns that were in a bag of Christmas ornaments.

I bought this little lady last month at my favorite Thrift store.  Found out later that she's from the Babysitters Club.  She even had her original outfit on absent the shoes, however.  Very cute face.

Purchased a Christmas Ornament from my friendly neighborhood Walmart.  Thought this was a pretty good deal.
