New Fashionistas and Made to Move Barbie

Just wanted to share some pics of a few of the new Fashionistas and the Made to Move Skateboard doll purchased from Barbie.com and TRU last week.  I'll start with No. 55.  She has the tall Fashionista body type, with a Tan complexion and very curly hair.  Her dress is one piece closed with Velcro in the back and she's wearing low top white chucks.

Looks like a new face mold.

She has a very unique profile for a Barbie.  She sort of  reminds me of Jackie O.

Now meet Petite  Fashionista No. 56.  She's rockin one of those new Sparkle Girlz fashion pak outfits.

Beautiful face mold and paint.

This MTM was found and purchased at TRU.

Again, another very lovely face paint and mold.

I must say that I'm quite impressed with these latest released Play Line dolls from Barbie/Mattel.  Now if they would only stock more of  those Hip Hoodie Male Fashionistas!  I'm currently awaiting news on the status of my order.

16 Scale Bath Tub

Hi Dollie Folks!  Just wanted to share with you a good find if  you're looking for a 1/6 scale bathtub. I found this one containing these bath products at Big Lots.

Just to give you an idea of it's scale, here's my latest Made to Move Barbie trying it out for size. The tub and bath products cost $10.  Not a bad deal if  you collect 1/6 scale items..

Peacekeepers & African American Christmas Decorations

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a Holiday as nice as mine. I got together with my 3 sisters from Michigan and we visited our daughters in Atlanta.  While there we went to a neighborhood Kroger and found the following items.

What the Haaaay,  Peacekeepers at Krogers?!?  And below, my sister has been trying to find AA Nutcrackers for a few years and was able to finally get one at Kroger.

Nice price for full sized and the Minis below were about half the price as the ones listed above.

And of course there's Santa!

Play sets found at DD's Discount

Just like to share a few items I found at one of my favorite haunts in the Houston area, DD's Discount.  It s a really good source for 1/6 scale play sets.  If you have one in your area, check it out. They're not your usual Barbie/Mattel type play sets but still they are of pretty good quality.  Although most of these items on the shelves are pink, I have found some in the past that are not.

Really nice bathroom play set

I also found a Twilight Doll there for only $3.99.

What I like about this bike is the black tires.

It's been a while since I've posted anything about my ladies so here goes!  If you've checked out my posts about the guys, you will have noticed that I do a lot of head swaps.  I do so many that I nick-named myself Dr. Dolliestein.   Whenever I see LIV dolls in a Thrift stores I purchase them because of their articulation.  I'm not a big fan of Monster High Dolls because don't like their oversize heads.  I purchased this Cleo DeNile, however, because I wanted to modify her shoes for another doll.  I just recently watched a collector on YouTube do a MH head swap with Barbie so I decided to break out Ms Cleo and try her head on a LIV body.

I removed the LIV head using hot water.  The Cleo head has glue in it so I had to gently work it off using a very small screw driver in stead of the hot water.  Now her head looks more proportioned to her new body.

I temporarily dressed her in this little pink frock I got off of  a Dollar Tree Doll.

She will make a great addition to my cast of characters!
